What do you do at Pulse?

I am a light tech here at the fabulous PulsePDX.

What’s your background in dance, fitness, or both?

Currently I coach children’s gymnastics. Prior to moving to Portland, I spent the majority of my adult life performing for Disneyland, Disney World and I even danced in a show in Las Vegas.

What’s your favorite thing about Pulse?

I would say my favorite thing about Pulse is the family atmosphere. It’s not just students coming in to take a class from teachers. There is a real sense of support you can get from one another, staff and students alike.

What’s your favorite song, class, or routine?

One of my favorite routines at Pulse is Bailando. It’s the first song I ever got up on stage to dance with an instructor.

What’s your “guilty pleasure” (as long as it’s PG-rated)?

My guilty pleasure is definitely chocolate milk! …And baked goods! I love to cook/bake!

Can you describe your favorite memory of an experience at Pulse?

I would say my favorite memory at Pulse was my very first class with Jennifer on a Saturday morning. After class was over, both her and Phoenix approached me and complimented me on my lines and movement. It made me feel special.

Lastly, how would you describe PulsePDX to someone that you know would enjoy it here?

Zumba at PulsePDX is an experience like none other. You’re dancing in a club like atmosphere with lights flashing, music blaring, and your blood pumping! Not to mention, they offer other strength and fitness classes too!
