What do you do at Pulse?
I manage the front desk on the daily greeting all the amazing people that come to PulsePDX. In addition, I teach the Monday 10:15am Dance Fitness class, Wednesday 10:15am WERQ classes, Thursday 5:00pm WERQ class and Sunday 8:00am WERQ class. I also light up the dance floor and keep the beats rollin along for a few classes.
What’s your background in dance, fitness, or both?
My dance background consisted of Middle School dances and being part of my alma mater dance team all four years and doing local shows as a back-up dancer and a few Musicals.
What’s your favorite thing about Pulse?
I love the #PulseMagic , the Friends I have made and the Smiles we provide to everyone who comes through the door.
What’s your favorite song, class, or routine?
My favorite song would have to be “Real Love” (Clean Bandit’s) not only do I get to cool down with this song alongside the love of my life, I get to look out at all the people singing along and it warms my heart. My favorite class would have to be Zumba of course, but Fusion is a close contender. As for my favorite routine, I would have to say All Of Them :D.
What’s your “guilty pleasure”?
My guilty pleasure is when I get to bring out my alter ego and play with make-up, this goes hand-in-hand with my love for being an Actor. In the end I guess it would be all about the make-up 😀
Can you describe your favorite memory of an experience at Pulse?
I remember the first time Donnie and I walked into PulsePDX when it was still at Refuge and how welcoming everyone was and how we instantly made friends while standing in line. We felt the love and energy in the room and could not stay away.
Lastly, how would you describe PulsePDX to someone that you know would enjoy it here?
It’s like something you have never experienced before. You don’t even realize you’re working out. It’s more like you went to a nightclub ready to dance your cares away except you leave feeling energized and well balanced. If you haven’t tried it, I would challenge you to take one class and tell me you’re not hooked.
