What do you do at Pulse?
I teach POUND, a class where anyone can be a rockstar.
What’s your background in dance, fitness, or both?
I have been teaching and personal training for 4 years, and got certified in Pound 3 years ago. I grew up dancing ballet for 15 years, and was a cheerleader in high school; dance was the biggest and best part of my childhood. I teach strength classes, bootcamp/circuits, cycling, POUND, ballet, kickboxing. I also Crossfit in my spare time. Fitness is just the best.
What’s your favorite thing about Pulse?
It feels like an awesome nightclub where people come together to have an awesome fitness experience together. Not to mention getting an incredible workout and dancing under a disco ball.
What’s your favorite song, class, or routine?
My favorite classes are POUND and ballet, they both have the best music and movement.
What’s your “guilty pleasure” (as long as it’s PG-rated)?
Baking, eating my baked goods, and sharing them with everyone.
Can you describe your favorite memory of an experience at Pulse?
My favorite experience at Pulse is every time I ask the crowd how they are feeling. It is ALWAYS met with a woot woot or leap in the air (and sometimes Pound sticks go flying).
Lastly, how would you describe PulsePDX to someone that you know would enjoy it here?
PulsePDX welcomes every person and every fitness level to have a group fitness experience that is an absolute dance party (with a sweaty workout to go with it).
