Have you spotted the beautiful painted cat statues scattered around downtown Portland that are part of Coraline’s Curious Cat Trail? This special event is designed to help bring people back to the small businesses in the area while raising funds for Doernbecher’s Children’s Hospital. That is a mission we strongly support!
PulsePDX will be participating in the fun by raising money to bid on one of these beautiful cats. If we’re fortunate enough to win one at the auction, it will be proudly displayed in our gallery space for everyone to enjoy. Even if we don’t win, we will still be able to make a substantial donation to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and have a great time in the process!
Ways to Participate
Join us for Movie Night on Sept 21st at 6:30
Enjoy a Saturday night movie night at Pulse PDX to watch Coraline. We will provide the popcorn, you bring something cozy to sit on and any other snacks and drinks you would enjoy. 21 and up. $20 suggested donation.
Submit a Feline Photo
Send us your favorite photos of your feline friends, with you or alone, and we will run them on the screens in our art gallery! $5 suggested donation per pic.

Grab some friends to explore the trail and vote for your favorite should we raise enough to be the future lucky owners of one of these awesome kitties.

About Coraline’s Curious Cat Trail
LAIKA, the Visit Downtown Campaign, Wild in Art and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital have all joined forces to bring Coraline’s Curious Cat Trail to the Rose City.
The trail consists of 31, nearly six-foot tall “Cat” sculptures stationed throughout downtown Portland, creating a free art trail complete with maps, website and an app. You can also follow @coralinescuriouscattrail on Instagram.
This event corresponds with the 15th anniversary and subsequent release of LAIKA’s remastered 3D stop motion feature Coraline.
Each cat was designed and painted by a local artist, and are simply mind blowing.
Coraline’s Curious Cat Trail runs for 10 weeks, is free to the public, and will culminate with an auction to find permanent homes for these amazing feline statues. ALL proceeds will benefit OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
