About the Exhibit

Nana and her mom, Maia, come from a long line of art and entertainment. There is family who are members of the Shriner Clowns, a long line of theatrical talent, painters, photographers, glass blowers – the creativity is endless. With origins like theirs, the “you can do anything that makes you happy” encouragement has been limitless. Maia has been on hiatus for a while but is enjoying returning to creating and focusing on maturing her style (you never stop improving!). Nana is currently a marketing student at PCC and an inspiring director. She provides a motivating perspective on understanding, acceptance and inclusion. She’s currently working on a short film that she hopes to submit to local events.

Bio – Maia Rossiello

Hello, I’m Maia, and my art on display is acrylic, however, I practice with all sorts of mediums such as murals, statues and glass. The world is going through a chaotic and tormenting time; I want to invite you to experience my world full of imaginative creatures and illumination. If you google me, you’ll find my past work from before my “break” of 12+ years… Northampton Community College in Tannersville, PA still has my mosaic trout statue on display in their courtyard. (Feels like another lifetime!)

My art is powered by midnight snacking, doodling during work seminars, a couple glasses of wine, shapes in the vintage carpet in the hotel lobby; I want my characters to instigate delight and curiosity.

If my art makes you smile, then I’ve accomplished my goal.

Bio – Lilliana (Nana) Rossiello

Hello, I’m Nana – as in “nah-nah,” not “nA-nah” like your grandmother. My photography is inspired by the nostalgia of childhood cartoons, the intensity of emotions, the entertainment of makeup and style, and even the smell of thrift shops. I try to capture that wonder in every piece; make it something you can hang on your wall.

My process involves experimenting with light, exposure, and camera techniques both on-site at a shoot and in the studio. My subjects range from places in the dark, my trustworthy friends, and even myself. I’m an inspiring director and find photography beneficial for visualization and perspective.

Each piece displays a feeling or a curiosity. If you experience that sensation, I’ve
done my job.
